Cursillo Weekend #75

De Colores!
Cursillo Weekend #75
October 26th – 29th, 2017
Dubose Conference Center, Monteagle, TN

In the world today, can Christianity penetrate the many areas of secular life?

Can it in any way be a transformative presence in the world?

The developers and current workers in the Cursillo movement think so.

Cursillo does not proclaim a different Gospel, but it does offer a method through which a person's spirituality may be developed and enriched.  Cursillo is a Spanish word meaning "short course" in Christianity.  It begins on a Thursday evening and ends the following Sunday late in the afternoon.  During those three days, the participants live and work together while listening to and discussing talks by clergy and laity alike.  The basic atmosphere of a Cursillo weekend is one of joy and Christian fellowship at its best.  The focus is on the person and teaching of Jesus Christ.  The experience is once in a lifetime.

The ongoing result is the enrichment of lay ministry:  "to represent Christ and his Church; to bear witness to him wherever they may be; and, according to the gifts given them, to carry on Christ's work of reconciliation in the world."

If you are an Episcopalian 21 years of age or older who wants to be a better servant of Christ and his church, then Cursillo is for you!

Sponsors, please speak with a priest concerning your candidate before proceeding.
