SUMMARY:Theology on Tap
DESCRIPTION:ToT is back for another season at St. Bartholomew’s\, Nashville and first up is their own Chris Hornsby leading a conversation on Jesus\, Creation\, & Justice. The topic of creation and nature and how do we care for it has been buzzing for a while now. What are we as Christians supposed to think about these things? What does following Jesus mean regarding our view of the outside world? Join us on Thursday\, October 6\, in the St. B’s garden for beverages and theological reflection about Jesus\, nature\, and the environment. Chris will offer meditations on Scripture\, lead an educational walk through our grounds\, and discuss ways that environmental stewardship ties into justice. \n\n\n\nChris Hornsby is the Field Operations Supervisor at the Cumberland River Compact and works with programming related to establishing an urban canopy and other green infrastructure installations. For questions about Theology on Tap\, email Matt Chambers-Rhea at rheamr@gmail.com.

SUMMARY:Compline at St. George's\, Nashville
DESCRIPTION:Stemming from monastic practice\, Compline is the last service of the day before bedtime. From the same root as the word “complete\,” Compline in the strict sense marks the beginning of a time of silence—from the end of the service lasting until the morning. This brief and beautiful service is set in a darkened church and sung by a small men’s choir. Remain as long as you wish after the service in this quiet space\, departing in silence. In the Nave.
