On Friday, January 20, at Christ Church Cathedral in Nashville, the Rt. Rev. Jo Bailey Wells, Bishop Suffragan of Dorking in the Church of England's Diocese of Guildford, will be the Guest Speaker of the 185th Annual Convention of the Diocese of Tennessee. Bishop Jo was consecrated last summer after serving as Chaplain to the Archbishop of Canterbury. She is no stranger to the Episcopal Church in the US in that she served for 8 years as the director of the Anglican Episcopal House of Studies at Duke Divinity School in North Carolina where she taught courses in the Bible and ministry.
Bishop Jo's remarks will focus on the theme of the Annual Convention taken from I Peter 2:9 – “You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people.”
