The Episcopal Church: Where We Belong

It is an incredible thing to sit in a pew at church and know that there are more than 1.5 million Episcopalians around the world who are celebrating the Eucharist just as we are. It’s also an incredible thing to know that anywhere in the Diocese of Tennessee, we can attend church in a place where we will find the same Eucharist, and the same devotion to Jesus Christ.

The Episcopal church is a place where we belong – to Jesus, and to each other. With that belonging comes the responsibility to care for those around us, and to share the good news with those who want to belong.

During a time when people are hungry to be a part of something meaningful, and bigger than themselves, our Diocese should be prepared to invite individuals into a relationship with a parish family, and into a relationship with Christ. You can help.

Making a gift today to the Annual Fund will help the Diocese of Tennessee continue its work. It is not just one person, or one parish, or even one Diocese that will help grow the Episcopal Church. It is each of us who will carry on the faith for generations to come. It is all of us who belong to Jesus and to each other. We invite you to be a part of what your Diocese is doing to help our parishes and the Episcopal church thrive.

Please be as generous as you are able. Thank you for belonging to the Diocese of Tennessee.

Gratefully,
Catherine Beemer
Stewardship Committee Chair
