An Ecumenical Evensong Service with the Catholic Diocese of Nashville

Common Prayer+Common Mission refers to the efforts led by Bishop Bauerschmidt and diocesan Ecumenical Officer, the Rev. Clint Wilson, to explore how the Episcopal Church might open up a greater sense of unity with the Roman Catholic Church.  As the first joint event held locally by our two denominations, the liturgy of Evensong (Vespers) will be sung on the Feast of Pentecost at St. George's Episcopal Church (4715 Harding Pike, Nashville), at 5:00 PM on June 4, 2017.   This traditional liturgy of Evensong is a sung version of Evening Prayer with beautiful choral accompaniment provided on this evening by St. George’s Choir and the Dominican Schola from the Congregation of St. Cecilia.

A barbecue reception will follow the service (RSVP here) and the proceeds from ticket sales ($10 per person or $25 per family with children) will benefit local foster care children through the work of the non-profit organization, America’s Kids Belong.

Please contact Father Clint Wilson via email here or by phone at 615.385.2150. with any questions you have about Evensong or the BBQ reception.
