My name is Andy Olivo and I’m a follower of Jesus. I’m also a husband to Catherine; a father to Charles, Mary Claire, and Sydney; and a pastor, priest, and teacher. I could say other things about myself—I collect manual typewriters; I love live music and theatre; I play golf (poorly); and so much more—but those first details are really the core of my identity. My name is Brian Cannaday, priest in the Episcopal Church and current Canon to the Ordinary for the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas. My hope in the words that follow is to share just a brief glimpse of my story and the story of my family. I am a native Texan and a life-long Episcopalian, having grown up the kid of an Episcopal priest in South Central Texas (San Antonio). Upon high school graduation, my original plan was to study choral music with the goal of becoming a high school choir director. It is where Trisha and I have raised our children, where I have served two congregations, and where I have learned what it means to belong to a people gathered by Christ.
