Stephen Tharp, hailed as “the consummate creative artist” (Michael Barone, Pipedreams), is recognized as one of the greatest concert organists of our age. Having played 1,600 concerts across more than 60 tours worldwide, Tharp has built one of the most well-respected international careers in the world, earning him the reputation of the most traveled concert organist of his generation.

Tharp’s performance at St. George’s will showcase his musical brilliance with our organ, Buzard Opus 48, demonstrating the instrument’s full might and broad range of tonal colors. This event is co-sponsored by the Nashville chapter of the American Guild of Organists. A reception follows the recital.
